Kuala Lumpur to Singapore in 2.5 hours

I had the pleasure of being invited to join the appreciation night for Korea Tourism Organization’s Korean Supporters and Korean Embassy’s Online Supporters hosted by Embassy of the Republic of Korea (Ambassador H.E. Dr. Yu Hyun-seok) last week.

We were treated to yummylicious dinner at Hilton Kuala Lumpur. But before that, we had a little briefing at the KTX Showroom located on the 1st floor, NU Sentral Mall.

The KTX Showroom was launched in November 2015 to promote Korea’s HSR technology to Malaysian public with the aim to join the bid for KL-SG HSR project. Honestly I didn't know about the existence of this showroom until I was invited to this event. But I left the showroom feeling impressed.

Visitors are able to gain in-depth understanding of Korea’s HSR technology at the showroom through various audiovisual equipment such as high-tech displays and videos that provide insights into the latest railway technologies, 3D simulator and 4D theatre that is aptly built into the shell of a high-speed railway locomotive.

Among the competitors of KL-SG HSR project, Korea is the only country which is continuously promoting its technology in a bid to join the project by operating a permanent exhibition hall. So much dedication from them!

If chosen, Korea will do its best to ensure optimisation of project cost and job creation in state-of-the-art technology sectors through cooperation with local companies, and travel time from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore may be shortened to 2.5 hours!

The showroom is open 10am - 10pm daily if you'd like visit.
