Wild Wadi Waterpark

So, we went chillaxing at Wild Wadi Waterpark.

This waterpark is located in between Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Madinat Jumeirah, and facing Burj Al Arab Hotel. If you're lazy to take the bus, another option for public transportation is by taking the Metro to Mall of the Emirates station, and from there the taxi ride will cost you AED12.

The entrance fee is AED195 per person, and add another AED25 for locker (small) rent.

I remembered watching one of the task in Amazing Race where all the teams had to slide down a water slide, passing through a tunnel beneath the aquarium's shark lagoon. I remembered this scene well because one of the girl was very afraid of height she refused to take the slide and that cost her team's elimination.

And there's also a task in Amazing Race Asia where the participants had to slide down a very high water slide. I thought both slides were at the same waterpark and was so looking forward to ride both slides. Turns out the passing through a tunnel slide is at Atlantis, another waterpark in Dubai.

Jumeirah Sceirah

Anyway, that terrifying waterslide is Jumeirah Sceirah. Plunging down 33 metres with speeds up to 80km/h, it is said to be the tallest and fastest free-fall water slide outside of North America. It is so fast you better watch out your bikini or bathing suit when you get off the slide as the rush has a tendency to displace swimwear. I saw two cases. LOL

It's one hell of a scary slide and I'm proud to say I've tried it! Woohoo!

Other than Jumeirah Sceirah, there are numerous roller coasters where you sit in an inflated tyre inner tube and are propelled up, down and round.

Bikini only please ;p

There is also a lazy river for when you simply cant be bothered to do anything and a large freeform pool with very credible waves.

Other activities include wake boarding, surfing..

or just relaxing and sunbathing.

From the top of Jumeirah Sceirah, you can actually have a good view of Dubai.

Overall, the park is definitely a great place to spend the day I must say.
