Saloma Link

It's almost end of the year, omgggg where have 2020 gone? For some people, year end is the time to travel since it's school holidays. Well I guess those school students have been on holiday much earlier because of the damn Covid.

If you're heading to KL for cuti-cuti Malaysia, I am sure KLCC tops your list of places to go. There's the Petronas Twin Towers, Petrosains, Aquaria.. Now add one more attraction to your Instagram feed - the Saloma Link.

It is a bridge across Klang River, connecting Kampung Baru and Kuala Lumpur City Centre. And it has become some kind of attraction la because it's beautiful.

The bridge change its colors in the evening. Blue, red, yellow, green, purple..

Wait for the Malaysia flag. It comes out every 45 minutes... approximately at 8pm, 8.45pm, 9.30pm, 10.15pm and so on... and stayed for about 3 minutes.

Anyway, while you're happy happy on the bridge please don't forget to sedekah Al-Fatihah to those who have left us as it is just next to Jalan Ampang Muslim Cemetery (where Saloma and P Ramlee was also buried).

If you're coming from KLCC side, just head to the intersection right in front of the Petronas Twin Towers where you will see Public Bank and NZ Curry House. Walk between the buildings to the back of NZ Curry House and there's a ramp leading up to the bridge. If you're coming from Kampung Baru side, head towards Kampung Baru LRT station. Or if you're coming from elsewhere with public transport, take the Kelana Jaya LRT line to Kampung Baru station. The bridge is just 100 metres away from the station.

There's an elevator and stairs from street level at Kampung Baru side.

The bridge is closed from 1 ~ 5am from Monday to Saturday (closed on 12.30am on Sunday and public holidays).
