Halal Food in Kyoto

After prayer at Kyoto Mosque, we walked to the main road and found an Indian Muslim halal restaurant. Initially I wanted to bring my family to have lunch at Gion Naritaya or Naritaya Halal Yakiniku because I've heard good reviews for both places. But we were hungry and tired from all the walking at Arashiyama earlier so we just went inside the restaurant and ordered our meals.

Salman & Sohel Halal Kitchen is located near to the junction to Kyoto Mosque & Islamic Cultural Center.

Seating and arrangements inside the restaurant.

This restaurant is formerly known as Raju or this is another restaurant from the same owner. I'm not sure.

Menu.

We ordered Chicken Biryani Set, Chicken Tikka Masala, Tandoori Salad, Cheese Naan and Garlic Naan.

The food was good. I really recommend the restaurant although I think it's a little bit far from the popular attractions. But you can have your meal here after prayer at the mosque, a day at the Imperial Palace or after visiting Kyoto University as they're nearby.

For other halal or Muslim-friendly restaurants, you can refer here.
